Rocketry is one of the four technical divisions at the University of Toronto Aerospace Team. It was founded in 2012, with the goal of developing high-altitude, hybrid sounding rockets for atmospheric and reduced-gravity research.

Founded in 2010, TUST is the foremost student aerospace team in Austria, created to supplement the lack of Aerospace studies at TU Wien. Today, TUST develops solid boosted rockets, cubesats, and propulsion technology.

THE BASE11 SPACE CHALLENGE

The Base11 Space Challenge is a student rocketry competition, with the goal of designing, building, and launching a liquid bi-propelled rocket to space. By participating in this challenge, TXV aims to break the Karman line before the end of 2021. With fierce competition from fellow Canadian and American student teams, TXV is harnessing the power of competition-driven innovation and its own team heritage to power the development of its Houbolt Launch Vehicle.

DEADLINE

The rocket must complete its mission before December 21, 2021.

TARGET ALTITUDE

The rocket must reach an altitude of 100km, the edge of space.

ROCKET TYPE

The rocket must be single stage and liquid bi-propelled.

PRIZE

The winning team receives a $1 Million USD monetary prize.
